Despite the weather Thursday afternoon, Santa Clarita community members flocked to watch the Amgen Tour of California’s Stage 5 Finish at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
Cycling enthusiasts had the opportunity to enjoy the Lifestyle Festival before riders crossed the Stage 5 Finish.
The festival included fun activities like trick riders, free giveaways from exhibitors, food and beverages and live entertainment.
Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team’s Mark Cavendish claimed his third stage win in five days of racing, making him the winning-est professional cyclist so far this season.
Mayor Marsha McLean and the Santa Clarita City Council, along with Patrick Moody from Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Dan Chambers from PayForward and Nikki Oerum from the Paseo Club were on the main stage to help present gifts to race leaders of the 2015 Amgen Tour of California.
After the Stage 5 Finish, the City Hall Council Chambers hosted the press conference for the Amgen Tour of California.
The Century Room at City Hall also acted as the press room for the Amgen Tour of California.
